Prathiba Subramaniam
Thank you for your curiosity and clicking on my profile. I wish you wellness in your journey to become stronger in your body, mind and spirit. For 20 years, Prathiba has been working as a trained clinical child, family therapist with a practice experience in cross-cultural spaces - First nations, Migrant and Refugees. She entered the professional western world as a child and youth mental health counsellor, and became immersed in PTSD assessments and relational healing for children, teenagers and adults. This journey has led Prathiba to work with many neurological conditions such as ADHD, autism, severe anxiety, panic attacks. Prathiba consciously held her Indian ancestory roots in traditional yoga by continuing her learning and practice in yoga therapy and remains open to offering breathwork sessions (bridging traditional healing aspects of yoga) for those who are open to try something gentler and softer to support their emotional pain and/or chronic pain. Prathiba's passion is to embed culture and relational recovery in individual treatment for children, teenagers and adults.

Why the Spoony community matters to me
I carry deep values in offering my service in communities that are client centred and client led. Being a value led practitioner, I have been selective in the organisations that I have worked for ensuring that our values match. It mattered to me that Spoony community intention and purpose is centred around empowering the wellbeing needs of neurodiverse and dis-ability people.
