kelly richardson
Hi, I’m Kelly (she/her) I’m a counsellor who’s passionate about holding space for neurodivergent, chronically ill, and disabled folks to feel seen, heard, and supported, without pressure to mask or explain. I bring over 10 years’ experience in mental health and disability, and my approach is warm, down-to-earth, and person-centred. I work with people going through anxiety, burnout, grief, life transitions, and just the general overwhelm of being human. My style is a blend of evidence-based therapy, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and the belief that you are already whole (even if it doesn’t feel right now). I also draw on both Western and Eastern perspectives on healing, and I’m always up for adapting sessions to suit your pace and needs. Whether you’re after a soft place to land, someone to talk things through with, or just want to be met exactly where you are, I’m here for it.

Why the Spoony community matters to me
Because Spoony offers something rare and real, a space where neurodivergent, chronically ill, and disabled people can show up as their full selves and be met with care, curiosity, and genuine understanding. That matters deeply to me, both personally and professionally. As a counsellor, I’ve seen how healing it can be to be truly seen, not as a diagnosis or a list of symptoms, but as a whole, layered human. Being part of the Spoony community means I get to support people in a space built on access, trust, and authenticity. That’s the kind of connection we all deserve. Kelly : )
