Why the Spoony community matters to me
The Spoony community matters to me because it affirms something I hold deeply, that we are relational beings, full, complex and connected not only to each other but to animals, to the land and to the rhythms of the world. In a society that often defines value through productivity and neurotypical norms, Spoony makes room for people to choose who they want to be, not who they're expected to be. This community reminds me that there is wisdom in listening differently, and in honoring the whole spectrum of human and more-than-human experience.
