Josiah

Hi! I’m an experienced counsellor, registered with the Australian Counselling Association, with a passion for working alongside neurodivergent people and people with disability. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand that therapy needs to be flexible, inclusive, and tailored to you. I'm here to connect, to listen, and to create a therapeutic space where you can safely explore who you are in this big, noisy world we live in. I offer a warm, client-centred approach which basically means therapy will look and feel like what you need it to be. Modern therapy can sometimes feel rigid or clinical; my goal is for our sessions to feel meaningful, safe, and supportive for you. I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone. If the full fee is a barrier for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—I'm happy to discuss options to make sessions more affordable. I have diverse experience supporting people with disability, neurodivergence, and trauma, and I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I really look forward to connecting with you.

Why the Spoony community matters to me

Being neurodivergent myself, I know how overwhelming this neurotypical world can be. That’s why I recognise the Spoony community as a space of safety, connection, and validation. I care deeply about people with disability and neurodivergence we have so much to offer the world. Being a therapist isn’t just a job for me it’s a passion, a purpose, and a privilege.
