Why the Spoony community matters to me
As someone who experienced addiction and an autoimmune condition I understand that living with chronic illness or addiction can come with layers of shame, stigma, and isolation — often making it harder to reach out for support. For many, the effort it takes just to explain their experience can be exhausting. That’s why it’s important to have a therapist who gets it — someone who offers validation without requiring justification. I believe that the antidote to shame is empathy, and my practice is grounded in creating a space where clients feel seen, believed, and empowered. You deserve support that honours your lived experience.
