Why the Spoony community matters to me
The Spoony community offers something truly rare—a safe, inclusive, and neuroaffirming space where lived experiences of disability and neurodivergence are respected, not pathologised. As a counsellor and psychotherapist, I deeply value the power of community in healing. Spoony creates access to care that is aligned with autonomy, dignity, and self-expression—values that are often overlooked in traditional mental health systems. Being part of this community means connecting with people who see the world differently—and who deserve support that is tailored to how they think, feel, and function. I’m here to contribute with compassion, integrity, and respect, and to offer a space where clients can feel understood, not judged. Spoony matters because it brings us together with honesty, care, and hope.
