Karen N
Hello! I’m Karen (she/her), a neurodivergent counsellor supporting children, young people, and adults to feel safe, seen, and accepted in their full authenticity. I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach shaped by my lived experience with chronic anxiety, undiagnosed ADHD, and growing up around intergenerational trauma. Over the past three years, I’ve supported neurodivergent, disabled, and LGBTQ+ young people, including Indigenous Australians, through experiences of trauma, low self-esteem, bullying, parental separation, identity challenges, and grief. I draw on attachment theory, creative expression, and deep empathy to honour each person’s unique way of being. Having loved ones with chronic illness, I know how isolating it can feel when support isn’t accessible or affirming. That’s why I’m proud to be part of Spoony — a space where you don’t have to mask or explain. Whether you’re navigating big emotions or simply want to be heard, I’m here to walk alongside you.
