My name is Joanne; can be called Jo. I’m 28 years old and I’ve always had the heart for helping those in need; which is why I studied counselling and have graduated on a Bachelor’s degree. I have been working as a counsellor since July which means it’s coming up to a year soon. It is quite early but I can assure you that I work to the best of my ability and in accordance with the client through a person centred approach. I believe everyone is unique and have their own values so I work in accordance to who they are and how they like to move. I​,​ myself​,​ run on Christian values; which are not limited to but include what’s called the 7 fruits of the spirit. These fruits are love​,​ joy​,​ peace​,​ patience​,​ kindness​,​ goodness and faithfulness. In saying that​,​ these are my values and I do not to push them upon others​,​ especially my clients. In terms of experience​,​ I know as I mentioned​,​ it has been quite early but I have worked one-on one with clients as well as group counselling. I’ve also counselled both face-to-face and remotely which means I’ve worked with a diverse clientele although I have not worked with kids or couples yet but I would like to in the future.
