Josslien
Hi, I’m Josslien a PACFA-registered psychotherapist with a Master’s in Psychotherapy and Counselling. I offer person-centred, trauma-informed counselling. With a background in disability and mental health support, I bring a compassionate, strengths-based approach that honours each person’s lived experience and autonomy. My practice draws from evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT skills, and mindfulness, and I am passionate about creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Why the Spoony community matters to me
The Spoony community matters to me because it centres the voices and experiences of people who are so often overlooked in mainstream healthcare. As someone who has worked closely with disabled and neurodivergent people, I’ve seen first-hand how affirming, accessible support can be life changing. I’m passionate about creating therapeutic spaces where clients feel safe to show up fully as themselves without needing to mask or explain their differences. Being part of a community that values lived experience, inclusivity, and respect is not only meaningful to me professionally, but also personally.
