Shaista Sohail
Hi, my name is Shaista Sohail. I am an empathic and passionate counsellor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I am genuinely interested in supporting others and advocating for the vulnerable. My practice is underpinned by trauma-informed person-centered approach, employing various therapeutic frameworks and interventions to individual client needs. I view counselling as a collaborative process whereby the counsellor facilitates the insight while upholding the belief that the client is the expert on themselves. I believe in the importance of psychotherapy in improving clients' lives and I am facilitating this change in them. I name my practice Turn the Tide Counselling because It suggests a sense of hope, transformation, and empowerment. It carries the quiet strength, like there's room for growth, healing, and new possibilities which is especially meaningful for neurodivergent and chronically ill clients who might feel stuck or unseen. “Supporting You in Turning the Tide of Life.”
